I have been taking Alendronic acid once a week for about five weeks, as well as Calchichew + Vit.D tablets, two a day, following the guidelines for taking the former, i.e. staying upright, drinking plenty of water, etc.
However, I have noticed a kind of tightening in my chest, the need to make quiet little burps frequently after eating. Last weekend, I woke with an excruciating headache which was followed by vomitting. This lasted for about five hours. I also suffer from IBS which cause abdominal pain, bloating and an inability to completely empty the bowel.
I wonder if some of these symptoms are caused by the medication and whether the IBS symptoms are also a result of it. I am going to see my GP later today but wonder what you might think. Your opinion would be very useful to me.
