Hi Everyone,
Ok I have a normal 27-28 day cycle. I have been trying to conceive . Last month I took an ovulation predictor test that was positive on the 12th and 13th days of cycle but unfortunately I didn’t have sex until the 16th of my cycle and was therefore unsuccessful.
This time my first day LMP was on Sat. April 21st. I had sex on Thurs. the 3rd and Fri. the 4th (13th and 14th day of cycle). But I got a positive result from the OPT on Sat. the 5th and Sun. 6th also.
I am confused because if the LH surge (what the OPT detects) occurs before actual ovulation then I would have ovulated on Monday 7th May and that is like the 16-17 day of my cycle. I thought that in my experience that is outside my window. Can someone explain this surge? I also have no pregnancy symptoms (yes, I know it is too early). What do you think my changes of being pregnant are? Do you think with this timing it would be a boy or girl?
