Ovulation and the Pill

I know the chances of getting pregnant on the pill while taking it just as you're supposed to every day and never missing is rare, but if you were to ovulate, would it be around the same time you would normally if you weren't on the pill? I'm on a 28 day cycle with the pill (21 active, 7 placebos). So would if I were to by some slim chance, would it happen at/around day 14? I'm on Apri/Desogen, pill-taken at same time every day, never missed a pill. Thanks! Smile

No, it would not happen on a 'normal' day that you 'used' to ovulate.

The pill takes over your cycle, so if you did ovulate it would be at a time that you do not know of.


Ovulation while using the pill CORRECTLY is extremely rare.
