I am a 39 yr. old who has had Endomitriosis and Ovarian Cysts for 20 years.
I don't have children so I put off having a Hysterectomy until six months ago. I had such bad adhesions that I had to have a total Hysterectomy not a partial. I've never felt better until 3 days ago, I started having pain on the left side and now its on the right as well. The pain is very sharp and hot and its located where my ovaries used to be. There is nothing there anymore so I don't know whats going on. I thought with a total Hysterectomy that I would be pain free. Any comments or thoughts would great, I'm a little nervous about whats going on. Thanks so much.

Hey there!
I too have recently had a full hysterectomy due to the same reasons as yourself. My endomitriosis had also attached itself to the bowel and so I had two surgeons work on removing the growths and uterus via vaginal laproscopy which was successful. Since the surgery I have felt fantastic, so much so that I felt an immediate improvement after the surgery, until recently. I too have had recent pain in my left side and the pain moves into the rectum depending on the level of the pain
I have had this pain off and on for the past few months and the level of pain has increased with each attack. I have returned to the doctor and I have been sent for another scan abdominal and vaginal scheduled to next week. So at this point I have no answer except to say you are not alone! AND I will keep you posted but perhaps the best advice would be to return to your doctor for answers.
All the best
