Pain Related to Treatment of Uti

Hi, my doctor prescribed me some antibiotics for treatment of UTI, but I still feel pain. Is it possible that this medication is making it worse? Help needed.

Hi, I don’t think that antibiotics can cause pain to get worse. He gave you antibiotics so your infection can get better. You should take medications, as your doctor prescribed. You must not stop taking them until full course of treatment is over. Otherwise you UTI may reoccur. You should do another urine test one week after treatment to make sure you cured your infection. The most important factor in preventing UTI is personal hygiene. Also drink a lot of fluids.
