| Wow I can't believe how many people have same symptoms. I have 2 stones 1 6mm 1 is 4mm. But it is not the stones causing my discomfort. I have had this for over 1 month. I have had U/S, CT, IVP with contrast. All show stones that would NOT cause this pain. I find it is worse after meals. Have lost 10 lbs. Cannot touch rt side just under rib. Going to see GI doctor next. Urologist thinks it maybe the way to go. |

Hello,
Been reading these posts looking for answers for my hubby. It apprears that a lot of folks have trouble w/stones, thought I'd pass along something I've learned from my friend. She has had more problems w/stones than anyone I've ever known~ real bad. After several procedures (18 surgeries in 16 years) her Dr. asked her if she'd be willing to try something for him. She agreed. He asked her to drink one CocaCola a day, every day. Just one, don't miss any days. She has done so for at least 4 years and has yet to have another stone. Interesting eh? Don't know if it will work for any of you, but thought you might be interested in knowing about her experience.
Best regards,
Judy |

Hello everyone,
yes sometimes you can start out with such severe pain and not able to talk and also vomiting but that is not always the case.... I am 40 yrs old and have had kidney stones since ive been 16 years old. There are many times that i do experience this kind of pain but i also at times have just had pain that comes and goes, the pain starts in lower back on either side then can also radiate down the from to the groin area. They surely aren't pleasant and more than not are extremely painful... |

| I had similar pain and it was (spelling error?) costrocondritus. Swelling of the cartilage around the rib cage. Some times it feels like I'm being stabbed in the side. I went to the ER 1st and finally to a doc in the box who know exactly what it was. If I twist a lot or sit wierd pick up heavy objects it will come back. The pain can be sharp and last for 15 mins and then be sore for a couple of days. You can always ask the MD if he would consider it. |

My family doc in of no help and ob-gyn wants me to have a hysterectomy. I want relief not a hysterectomy. I need answers, anyone with similar problems?[quote - barbie]
I am having pretty much the same symthoms, only I was diagniosed with gall stones and divericuloises. I had a second opinion and the surgeon said that is not related to my pains that I am having on the lower right side and lower back. Sometimes the pain shoots down my right leg. I have had a complete hysterectomy about five years ago. I am still having the same pains I had before my hysterectomy. No one can find out exactly what is going on. The last surgeon I saw wants to see my records from the hysterectomy and pathology report. This was done in a military base. He seems to think that I might still have my ovary or maybe some metal was left inside of me. I am at my wits end and I can't stand this pain any longer. Does anyone have any thing similiar to this? Help! |
