Hi, my girlfriend has been taking drugs a year ago. What are possible side effects on her pregnancy?

Hi, any drug of abuse can affect a fetus. So, she should take no drugs under any circumstances. Any drugs prescribed by doctor, should also be avoided, and if any regular drug is to be given it should be decided by health care professional. Drugs of abuse may interfere with proper nutrition and malformation of the baby. It is believed that mothers who take marijuana during pregnancy have smaller babies. If your girlfriend has been using drugs a year ago, it should have no more effect on her fetus now.
