Penis redness and sores after dry sex

I had dry sex with my girlfriend because she was on her period, all our clothes were on. I found out later that I had cuts on my penis and redness too. It has been about three weeks now and the cuts have yet to heal. We have had sex time to time thinking that the cuts would just heal on their own but they haven't. We have stop having sex because I want the cuts to heal but I wonder if they could be something else. I don't think they would because we didn't have sex when the redness and cuts came about but I'm still worried and confused why I won't heal
