New study says that people who work as builders, plumbers, carpenters and electricians are at great risk of getting a deadly cancer because they don’t know all there is to know about asbestos. This study claims that there was alarming ignorance among workers about the dangers of asbestos which can cause a mesothelioma, a type of chest cancer. Experts say that this type of cancer develops between 15 and 60 years after exposure to asbestos and they claim that this disease will have it’s peak between 2011 and 2015. Recent study confirmed that out of 400 workers only 12% knew that exposure to asbestos could be fatal. Researchers say that workers said they had been pressures to continue working even if they suspected that asbestos was present and some of the workers thought that some levels of asbestos are safe.

Scientists agree that it’s a great worry that those who are most at risk of developing mestothelioma know so little about this condition. What is most important about this disease is that people most become asbestos – aware and protect themselves against asbestos.
