Percocet and IB Profen

At 8:30 pm I had taken 800 mg of IB Profen for very severe pain. Is it safe to take percocet now at 11:15 pm? I was prescribed the percocet, but do not like to take it when I am home alone with the children. My husband is home now, and my pain is unbearable. Please advise if is safe to combine the two meds.
