I don’t exactly know what the Perinium is and where is it located in human body? What’s its function? I’ve heard that it can be affected during delivery. Please tell me more about this. I am one month pregnant and not so well informed about this. Thanks.

Perineum is muscle and the tissue located between the vagina and anus, or in males between the scrotum and anus. It’s recommended to do perineal massage from 8th month of pregnancy. It may help prevent episiotomy. You should find out more about kegel’s exercising. They are done for strengthening of vaginal muscles. Wish you good luck.
