Posted: 08/12/06 - 06:44 Post subject: Period 3 weeks late, partner had chemo Could I be Pregnant? |
|
|
| Had unprotected sex with my partner who had just finished chemo for testicular cancer (he had 1 teste removed). Told me the chemo had left him infertile for a while so he came inside me (right around the time i would have been ovulating). Period is over 3 weeks late and just had 2 days of light spotting (mainly dark brown almost black and slightly red discharge), which has now dissapeared. Did have slight cramps but alot less than what I would usually feel. Thought I had been feeling slightly sick (esp in the morning and after eating), did have sore breasts but this seems to be gone but have also been really tired. I also took a hpt after being 1 week late but it was negtive. Could the test have been to soon to tell? Could I be pregnant or have miscarried? Anyone ever heard of any1 getting pregnant even though there partner had testicular cancer? Ill take another test soon just wanted to hear some responces. Cheers xoxo |

I am a big believe here in anything is possible. Some times stress can with hold a period so that may be what happening. However, the description you gave sounds like a possible preganancy. You are right, your HPT may have been taken too early. If you are pregnant a hormone HCG has to have a strong enough presence in your body for a HPT to work. Taking another test is a good idea.
The color you described said that it was black and redish, this color is also called a rust or brownish color, this is normal. A miscarraige if you are even pregnant normally is colored bright red. Lets see if we're even pregnant before a miscarriage. Your situation sounds more like pregnancy than anything else. Please keep in touch! |

If he has any sperm at all in him, and it is possible, then yes you very easily could be pregnant!
EVEN withdrawal gets many women pregnant, and I see them at the abortion office that I work at. |
