Period Problems what could be wrong?

I am 20 years old and have been on birth control for 6 months. roughly. When i started with the pills my periods became very light and lasted one day, no cramps or anything like that. I missed 2 pills on the last pack and since then ive had my regular period but i have also had bleeding inbetween periods. i guess its what you would call spotting its not enough to need a pad or anything but i have had the cramps and all. My period was on the 20th of Dec and i was bleeding again by the 29 then agian on the 1st then agian on the 5th any ideas what might be going on?

i am an 18 year old girl.My period usually goes on for 6days every month but this month it lasted only two days.Is it normal or something is wrong with me??
