Hi,
I stumbed across this forum hoping that someone else has had a similar experience and has had a positive outcome...
I am in my late 20's... have been diagnoised with PCOS for 8yrs now... I have a child who is 13mths old... and I am desperate to have another baby...
Since having my child I have had spotting often, but no real menstral cycle... In November 2007 I had a "period" that went for 18 days.... My Dr put me on Metformin straight away to help regulate my cycles and hopefully have a chance at getting pregnant... Since Nov 07 I have not had a period, until now... 3 mnths between! 
It has now lasted 18 days... During the day; at home or at work nothing really happens... I get a bit of browny discharge... then in the early evening or about 1hr after I get up in the morning, I can feel it "let go" and there is pink/reddish blood... Could this be a side effect of Metformin???
I have been taking iron tablets... but I still feel tired all the time....
My Dr does not seem worried about and says if i don't fall pregnant in the next 3 months she will send me off to a fertility specialist!
