Period over 2 weeks late, spotted, now bleeding!

So I was on birth control. I stopped it (Jan 17th) and got my period the next day (Jan 18th) as I should have.
It's March 6th and my next period was 2 1/2 weeks late and then earlier this week I started having very light pink spotting, which turned to light brown, with no associated pain, and only there when I wiped. That lasted for about 5 days.
2 days after the spotting (today) I just started bleeding, like period bleeding.
I really thought the spotting was implantation bleeding and although my urine preg tests came back negative I thought it was def a sign I was pregnant, but now I'm bleeding (although SO late).
What does this mean?
Did I really just go that whole month with unprotected sex and not get pregnant? Is there a chance I am pregnant and maybe just having normal bleeding or miscarrying??

I think that you're period is just trying to get back to normal. after being on hormonal birth control, and then the sudden absence of the extra hormone's, it can take the body a little bit of time to get back to normal.
