Periods and Lyme disease

Hi, I was bitten by a tick and there was that characteristic red spot arond the bite. I fear of lyme and have noticed that my periods are irregular and lost month had a complete cessation of menstruation. Could it be connected with lyme disease?

Hi. Lyme disease has many symptoms, like rash or something, but there are also liver infection, elevated liver enzymes, enlarged spleen, swollen testicles, irregular menstrual cycles and sometimes a complete cessation of a period. Treating lyme is easy if you go as soon as possible. It includes antibiotics for a few weeks. If not treated, lyme can cause you some serious health damage. Lyme is an acute inflammatory disease followed by rash with joint swelling and fever.
