I had a fear that I could have been pregnant but I got my period a week late, could I actually be pregnant or does my period mean I'm not?

Hun, I've been wondering the same thing. All anyone will tell you is take a home pregnancy test. I've taken two and they were both negative, but I still don't know. I started bleeding a week after I should have started. It was really heavy for about 24 hours with clotting then just stopped. I had NO bleeding at all for about 5 hours, now I'm bleeding again, but it's really light. Is your bleeding like your normal period usually is? My bleeding hasn't been like my normal period from the beginning. Our bodies seem to be a mystery. Hopefully you can take a HPT and see what that says. Goodluck!

IF you were having a miscarriage, say that was the reason why you are late, then a pregnancy test would show up as a positive. It takes 1-1.5 weeks for pregnancy hormone to fully get out of your system, so if you were pregnant it would still show positive.

I am going through the same thing. I have VERY consistant periods. I started my period 5 days late. For 5 days I just KNEW I was pregnant . But when it came 5 days later it was normal for the first couple of hours then it went to on/off with a lot of browish in between. I took a home pregnancy test the first day of my missed period but was that too soon? And what is up with this "PERIOD"???? Am experienceing several pregnancy symptoms.

1 week ago i took a pregnancy test and it was a week positive i was so excited this would have been my third child i started losing a blood stained mucus on wednesday so i went to the hospital they done a scan but said it was too early to see anything as i was only 5 weeks. Yesterday i started bleeding properly with blood clots i phoned the hospital and told them they said the blood tests they took was extremaly low and with the bleed aswell i have miscarred but when i was pregnant with my son i blead for 3 days with clots too and he is fit and healthy so im very confused can somebody help?

i myself am very confused on the day i was to take a pregnancy test my period started. It was light then the next day heavy...today it was heavy again but not its very light and almost stopped..not normal for me after 2-3 days of my period? now im wondering if i am pregnant?? does anyone know about this?thanks
