Hi, a week ago, I noticed a blister in my mouth. It is persistent, and it won’t go away. It’s not even shrinking. What should I do?

It happened to my son a while ago. He had four persistent blisters in his mouth. I took him to doctor, and she diagnosed him with herpangina. I though, because of the name, that it was some kind of herpes, but doctor told me that it was actually caused by coxsackieviruses. This usually appears in kids, but it doesn’t mean that it can’t appear in adults. Maybe this is what you got. Beside persistent blisters, my son had some following symptoms, such as fever and loss of appetite. The blisters had red rings around them, and they appeared on several places in the mouth- in the back of the throat, on the tonsils and inside the cheeks. A doctor said that antibiotics don’t help with blisters, so she prescribed him only some meds for the pain. Beside that, she said that he should drink plenty of fluids and avoid irritating and salty food
