Is prolactinoma kind of petuatary tumour? What are the symptoms of prolactinoma? Can it occur as hereditary or genetic caused disorder? There was a case of prolactinoma in my family, so I’m interested in its characteristics. Thanks.

Yes, as I have information, prolactinoma is kind of tumor caused by pituitary miss function. In this condition, pituitary gland produces too much prolactin. It can cause infertility, and the symptoms are irregular cycle, vision disturbances, pain during intercourse. Also, it is common milk discharge to occur from breasts in women and in men, too. There is probably higher risk in person with familiar history of prolactinoma.
