I've heard different things and I'm wondering if anyone can clarify this for me: if I was just starting the pill, and I started on the day of my period (or maybe the day after I don't really remember but it was very close), how long do I have to wait before I can have sex and not worry about pregnancy? I've heard from some people that it's only a week, but I've heard from others that it should be a month. My boyfriend came up to visit me about a week and a half after I started, and we did it a couple times. I don't think I really have much to worry about, because we were very careful (we used condoms with spermicide) but just in case....

what are the chances? in the future, how long should I wait?

thanks, any answers are appreciated.

7 days is a safe amount of time to wait if you are using BC correctly.
