Hi, it is not so common to see rash in such small babies. Pityriasis rosea is a harmless rash on the skin. It mostly affects those between the ages of 10 and 35, but can occur at any age. It is not an allergic reaction or induced by a fungus or bacteria, but the cause remains unknown. It is characterized by the rash that begins with a single, round, pink patch that is scaly with a raised border. Later new patches appear on the abdomen, chest, back, arms, and legs, but they never spread to the face. Usually it’s not itchy and lasts for 6 to 8 weeks, but it can be longer up to several months.
