I read a post that says: “…plantar fasciitis is also commonly found with fibromyalgia patients and polymyalgia rheumatica…" I would like some contact on this. How Plantar Fasciitis and FM are connected?
That would be question for rheumatologists. They are most familiar with the evaluation and treatment of patients with fibromyalgia and other conditions that involve the musculoskeletal system. Plantar fasciitis is not a typical condition that is associated with fibromyalgia, but plantar fasciitis can cause pain in the bottom of the foot which could aggravate or precipitate a poor sleep pattern, resulting in symptoms of fibromyalgia. There are many rheumatic diseases, which often do have plantar fasciitis as a feature of their symptoms that also have symptoms similar to fibromyalgia.
