Pleurisy Question

I did some searching on pleurisy and I can relate to my symptoms. Chest pains radiates into my back, shortness of breath, dry cough with thick sputum… I'm going to mention it to my rheumy on my next appt but I have a question here anyone with experience with this? The symptoms come and go and the pain is not constant.

Although I've never had pleurisy, my sister had it and it sounds like the same symptoms. You might want to get it checked out a bit more closely. Are you on prednisone right now? I think prednisone is normally used to treat pleurisy. The symptoms of pleurisy can come and go; deep breathing and activity are usually pain triggers in pleurisy. It would be silly to ignore such symptoms.
