I'm 19 and i keep getting this smelly vaginal discharge everytime after my period, and it goes after a few days. But lately its stayed longer and doesn't seem to go, i'm worried as i don't if i could of cought something. The last time i had unprotected sex was 2yrs ago and ive never been checked out. The smelly discharge did start after that but then went.
Please help.

If you haven’t had the unprotected sex then you shouldn’t worry about any STD that you might have caught. It is normal that you produce a vaginal discharge and as long as it looks normal you shouldn’t be upset. But this smelly discharge could be a consequence of some bacterial infection of your vagina accompanied by itching and burning? Have you noticed that your genital area is red, itching or burning? If so, then this might be the infection called bacterial vaginosis and many women are unaware that they have it until they are gynecologically checked. So I would recommend you to go check this out the sooner the better! The treatment is quite simple and after it you should pay attention to keeping clean the genital area especially during the periods.
I also wanted to ask if this discharge you are producing is mixed with blood maybe? If it is, then it might be the old blood that is coming out afterwards, and that’s why it smells bad. You check it out anyways!!
