Researchers claim that consumption of olive oil rich in polyphenols improves lives of people who suffer from oxidative stress. They say it is also good for prevention of cell aging and osteoporosis. Scientists analyzed samples from 15 olive oil mills and demonstrated the fact that olive oil is very rich in polyphenols. Polyphenols from olive oil are proved to be helpful in combating any oxidative disease which is associated with degenerative process.

Researchers also began to investigate polyphenolic characterization of food products such as honey, beer and propolis.
