Hello. I have done ANA test and results acme positive. What does it mean? Should I be worried? I don’t feel sick or bad. I will discuss this with my doctor on Friday, but I don’t even understand why he ordered ANA test. My friend said that mean that I have lupus???

Well a Positive ANA can mean many things! One of my friends had Positive ANA test and she was healthy. However, there are many illnesses and conditions associated with a positive ANA, including rheumatoid arthritis; Sjogren's syndrome, scleroderma, and lupus, as well as infectious diseases such as mononucleosis, subacute bacterial endocarditis, and autoimmune thyroid and liver disease and certain medications can cause a positive ANA.
