Positive HPT but unsure if I did something wrong

I took an a home pregnancy test 2 days ago and the result was positive. I am now worried that I might have done the test wrong. I urinated in a cup and stuck the entire end of the test into the urine, but I'm afraid i put too much of the test strip in and it resulted in a false positive. Is this possible?

No that is not possible. Pregnancy tests detect the presence of a special hormone hCG (Human chorionic gonadotropin).

This hormone is ONLY present in pregnant woman, you won't find this hormone in a non pregnant woman, thats why false positives are so incredibly rare.

I would call that a positive result. If you are unsure. test again.
