Hello. Any help in understanding some things would be more then welcome because I don’t know what to do.
I am 22 years old and have been off the pill for about 5-6 weeks.
Before that, I had been taking the pill for little over a year and it helped me reduce risk from pregnancy!
As you see, I'm now over then 2 weeks late but I know that this isn’t caused by pregnancy simply, because I didn’t had any sexual activity in this period.
I don’t know what to do now and is there something wrong with my hormonal status?

I understand your worries and I would really like to help you. I know what is happening to you because the same thing happened to me a year ago. I was sure that I was pregnant and after I did some home pregnancy test and realize that I'm not- I remember that I have read somewhere that this could happen after long term usage of these pills.
So I have checked this with my doctor and he told me the same thins- this is quite common this and it is happening to a lot of woman. Your body has too long functioned without normal ovulation hormones and that’s why it can be very hard to increase producing of these hormones again. But, he prescribed me some hormonal supplements to safely induce menstruation and jump-start my cycle and in about a month everything came back to normal.

I have post pill ammenorhea - 6 months without period, but i actually was only on the pill for approx 2 and a half years, so it's not restricted to just those women whom used the pill for several years. I wish the doctors told women that the pill can cause ammenorhea. your lucky your doctor helped induce your period my doctor won't and tells me it's normal to go 2 years without a period after coming off the pill....
