Post Vasectomy blockage pain

I had a vasectomy about a year ago.
For months now one of the cut tubes continuously becomes painful due to sperm blockage. I can feel the lump where the tube is terminated and blocked with sperm. The pain sometimes is transmitted as a burning stinging feeling in my groin.
The dodtor sais this is sometimes normal and to give it a few months to resolve. Will it ever resolve ? Is there a non surgical solution to the problem ? Is reversal the only real solution ?
