Post-colectomy chronic respiratory infections

I had my colectomy 4 years ago, and have been constantly sick since then w/ URIs, bronchitis, walking pneumonia. I have not found a doctor who believes there could be a link, but the timing is suspicious. Has anyone heard anything about other patients with my experience, or have any insight? It has been suggested that I may have an IgA, IgG, or IgM deficiency. What would this mean in terms of my chronic infections?
