Post-gallbladder weakness & pain years later

Thanks in advance for taking time to read this.

For around two years, at the age of 16, I suffered what was later discovered to be very serious gallbladder and pancreatic disease (the latter caused by the former).

This resulted in full gallbladder surgery (not keyhole surgery) and months of recovery.

In the following years, I suffered daily, very severe nausea and stomach pains.

Although I saw numerous consultants in an attempt to discover what was causing this - which continued despite the surgery - the 'best' diagnosis I received was fibromyalgia and/or irritable bowel syndrome.

Last year, a new doctor - much more up-to-date on new medications - prescribed two new drugs which helped with the nausea in particular.

However, although I'm now finally working full time (albeit from home), if I have to do something a little different to my normal routine - i.e. lots of walking due or travelling - I become incredibly tired in the hours after I return home. It's the same each time - I feel very tired, shaky, nauseous and suffer severe headaches and some rib cage and stomach pain.....just generally ill.

Within hours, I usually end up in significant pain from my stomach. It feels like severe stomach cramps, with a strange squeezing feeling and even a trickling water sensation within my lower body (nothing externally visible).

An even stranger factor is that the soles of my feet also become severely blistered beneath the toe (on the bottom of both feet) and red, making it difficult to walk.

It's as if, when I do anything a little more strenuous than my daily routine, my body has a severe reaction which can then lead to severe stomach cramps which feel as if my stomach is being squeezed. It can be so bad that I faint due to the severity of the pain.

Having seen doctors about this, I appreciate I likely won't be able to receive a significant answer here as it's quite complex....plus I'm seriously beginning to think I must be the only one suffering this (probably not, but it sometimes feels like it!).

I'm really just wondering if anybody on here who's undergone similar gallbladder surgery has resulted in a similar loss in quality of life.

As I say, thanks in advance for any response as I really appreciate any help anybody can offer.

I am also experiencing the exact same symptoms and pain. exactly how you described it. I'm desperate as I too feel like there is no one else like this because the doctors are totally stumped. Even at the Mayo clinic. I would desperately like to know what has happened with you. Please let me know.
