Postpartum rheumatism

A friend of mine is convincing me that there is such form of disease like "postpartum rheumatism". She also told me that every fifth women who had delivered will develop this disease. Is this true? I am worrying about this because I am about to deliver. Will I have that disease?

There is not such thing like "postpartum rheumatism". There is only the possibility of developing symptoms of Rheumatoid and Inflammatory arthritis, but only as relapse. That means that you need to have previous medical history of these diseases and also need to breast-feed your child. Don't worry, enjoy your pregnancy and prepare yourself to be mother.
