Researchers from ST. Louis University did an animal study on fighting the cancer and managed to develop a company, named JV-1-36, that can penetrate the blood brain barrier, and reach cancer cells that way. There have been many drugs found that can kill the cancer but none of them could have sneaked past a protective blood barrier in the brain until now. The next step would be to develop it for clinical use. Even though there could be very big difference in animal model and the human condition, in this case pretty much the same rules apply. He predicted the drug could be available in two to three years.
