Pounding in right ear not related to heart beat

I just got this problem today, i have a pounding in my right ear, it is not related to my heart beat in any way. Im 15, so im not having any hearing problems. I went to the doctors office today, and they said i was probably just hearing my heart beat, i can tell that is definitely not the case. Can someone please help me it is driving me absolutely nuts im not gonna sleep a minute tonight.
