Hi, everyone! I read on Internet that if you had certain conditions you should not take prednisone or should be discuss with your doctor. One of these conditions is heart disease. Would prednisone affect me seriously? I have mitrovalve prolaps and I started taking it today according to advice of my doctor.
Prednisone is a corticosteroid, very similar to a natural hormone. When your body does not make enough of it, it is often is used to replace this chemical. There are some precautions in the case of heart disease such as mitrovalve prolaps, but depending on your condition, your doctor made a decision about therapy.
