Hi! I am pregnant, and I worry for me and baby. A year ago my sister had ARDS caused by septic shock. She survives, but she has some consequences. I think that same thing will happen to me. What should I do? I am desperate.

Hi! You probably know that acute respiratory distress syndrome ARDS is sudden, life-threatening lung failure. Cause of ARDS can be septic shock. Causes of septic shock are septic abortion, chorioamnionic and postpartum infections, pyelonephritis, and respiratory tract infections. Your sister had septic shock, but this doesn’t mean that you also will have septic shock and ARDS. You should talk with your doctor about your concerns. He will have best advice for you!
