A condom split, pulled out the split second we heard it go, was only a couple of inches in at the time. hole exposed the head of the penis.

she doesnt ovulate for ages, she only came off her period 3 days ago. her cycle is 35 days long, (longer than average) technically, she was due to ovulate on the 10th of july. the splitting of the condom happened on the 26th of june. a fortnight before ovulation should occur.....

condom had spermicide in it, of course.

Not climax. I repeat, there was No cum.

the only worry is the slight possibility of precum.

but.

Possibly not even any precum either, couldnt see any on the head, only the spermicide gel that coated the inside of the condom, if there was precum, He had urinated since the last time he had came which was a few days ago, and urinated AGAIN about 10 minutes prior to intercourse so there were no loose sperm in the precum, or at least, the chances are very slim.

so, Can I relax now? its just the splitting that worries me, although from writing this the chances of a pregnancy are almost non existent.

PRECUM does have some sperm in it, it does come from the same place as semen...

BUT, this situation makes it sound unlikely that pregnany is possible. EPECIALLY so soon after a period, and if her cycles are regularly quite long.

BUT , just in case you ever have a condom break during a PEAK ovulation time..The morning after pill can be taken up to 5 days after sex, and planned parenthood or her regular gyn doc can get her a dose if ever needed =)

Pre-ejaculate is made in the bulbourethral glands (or Cowper's glands, preparing the urethra for the passage of semen by neutralizing acidity due to any residual urine. It also lubricates the movement of the penis in the vagina and the foreskin over the glans.

semen is made in the testes.

the only time there is semen in pre-ejaculate is when sperm from a previous ejaculation are picked up by passing precum on its way out.

however, if he has urinated since his last ejaculation (and seeing as this last ejaculation was days before, he has probably urinayed several times since then) the chances of sperm in precum here are low, if not impossible.

small studies have been carried out that show NO sperm in precum at all.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=12762415

this doesnt mean that ALL pre-ejaculate is safe. people HAVE got pregnant from it.

but in your case, the chances of conception are very small.

your worry comes from the initial psychological reaction after the condom split. it worried you. and still is. But judging from your post, you have assessed the situation well, and perhaps know consiously that you should be safe. however subconsiously you keep worrying because of the event of the breakage shocked you.

judging from your cycle length (35 days) and the fact ovulation is due to occur on the tenth, If her period is late, or hasnt arrived by the 30th of July. I would take further steps to rule out a pregnancy, such as a home pregnancy test. also, be aware that anxiety and stress will delay your period. try to relax as much as possible until then.

Smile
