I had the TVT procedure 5 years ago and now want to become pregnant. All the information I have found indicates that the mesh will not stretch...has anyone had a successful pregnancy after the TVT and not had adverse effect?

Yes! I had the TVT vaginal sling and became pregnant. My son was born in October of 2001 and it was a vaginal delivery. I had my first son C-section in 1992 and my daughter VBAC in 1997. I t was after she was born that I began experiencing incontinence. I took my chances and went for the vaginal birth, after the TVT, and I am so happy I did. My OBGYN did ease the baby out slowly in an attempt to save the TVT. All these years later, the TVT is still holding up well, although I will admit that instead of being 110% effective, it is now only 99% effective. I have experienced leakage when I have had a bad cough but jumping on the trampoline is still not a problem. Feel free to email me at astefehren@aol.com if you have further questions. Good luck! Anna
