Pregnant and dependant on pain pills.... what harm am I doin

I am praying for an expert answer, I am a 31y/o and pregnant, I had my first OB appointment and I am confirmed at 4wks 5 days.

I have been dependant on Hydrocodone and Soma for approxiamatley 3 years. I am currently taking 100-120mgs of Hydrocodone a day and 1-2 Soma as needed.

I am terrified to tell anyone!! I know I can taper off these meds, my question is how do I safely accomplish his without harming my pregnancy? Is the embryo somewhat safe at this point? I have raed NOT to just STOp but to wean down. I do not feel comfortable taking to my Doctor about it until I have some sort of knowledge and a gameplan.

Also, are there any other pain meds that are "safe" to take during pregnancy, I suffer from migraines and will not be able to take my normal meds.

you HAVE to tell your dr. he/she will tell you how to do it safely. do it for the baby
