i was just wondering what profession carifairy was?
I think she has a few things wrong...for one thing you can get pregnant if you miss one pill. you don't need to miss more than three to be able to get pregnant.
and if you miss three or four pills, no you do not take three pills or four pills in one day!!! you're only supposed to take two pills in one day if u miss a pill until you are caught up. if you miss more than four days you should start a new pack. Taking three or more pills causes bleeding and spotting and can make you sick. |

Birth Control prevent ovulation.
If you become Pregnant while on birth control it means that it was not taken correctly or you need a different dose. |

I am in the healthcare profession, I work in an abortion clinic and for Planned parenthood.I do need to maintain some anonymity for my own personal protection.
If you miss one pill, then you can follow the instructions given to you by the pill leaflet/doctor, and you are okay. You would not need a back-up for 7 days as long as you ONLY MISSED ONE pill, and you too it as soon as you remember. You would also need to take the next pill at you regularly scheduled time. You are still protected.
This information is available online.
YES, you are at an increased risk of pregnancy, but noone can tell a woman just how much increased risk she has. |

This sounds like most of the posts here. I have been feeling nausea tired, and moody for 2 weeks, I have been on Yasmin for 3 years and have never had this problem. This feels very familiar from my other two pregnancies. Of course I took a test but it is still to early to tell. Both of my other kids were negitive when I took tests for them too... I have to wait till the day I am suppose to start before I get any type of real result. I believe I need to have a blood test to tell if I am or not so I can stop taking my BC pills as soon as possible. I hear two sides of healthcare people say yes and no that BC can and can't hurt the baby. I rather be safe then sorry. I called my doc, only to talk to the nurse twice, who believes that I am not pregant, but all I want is a blood test to confirm it. I need a doc's approval for insurance reasons. How can I push myself past the nurse and straight to the doc? And will the BC hurt and baby?
Feeling sick,

I'm so glad I found this page!
Ive been on BC for almost two years now but I never let my boyfriend ejaculate inside. The other night tho it jsut happened and now I'm paranoid like crazy that I'm pregnany. I was on the 2nd last pill on the third week row when it happened. During the first week of that pack I did miss one tho. What do you think the chances are that I'm pregnant? |

|
|
| I have just started taking birth control. Lately(even before I started taking birth control) I have been really tired--more then usual. My breast hurt really bad, but I know this is a side effect of the pill. I feel really sick in the morning, but never really vomit--most times its just dry heaving. My last period(before I started the pills) was a little bit lighter than it has always been. I'm still taking the pills and I am on the white ones--still haven't had a period. My boyfriend thinks my body is getting used to the pills, but I'm not really sure. My family has a history of the females having their periods for the 1st so many months while they are pregnant. Could I possibly be pregnant? And yes, we have had unprotected sex, but he never came inside me. And the one time he was close to that, I took plan b a couple of days later. So, is there a possibility that I am pregnant? |
