Hi, I'm 50 Years Old, currently in a 5 month relationship and going thru menapause, I have had blood work that states Iam. I was having a period about every 4 months and then a few months ago decided that my boyfriend and I both 50, did not choose to have children, therefore I needed to take birth control, my Dr. put my on one & so now I have a period every 28 days & unsure if this is going to confuse my body and stop it from going thru menapause or what, I hate having periods every month but also choose not to become pregnant either, what other type of birth control can you recommend that won't interfere with menapause and maybe have 4 periods a year?
