I am 41 years old and think I am experiencing premenopausal symptoms. Hot flashes, irritability, depression. I am still on birth control pills and I am wondering if I should be getting off those? If I don't will the pills affect my menopause?
You should be taking the pills until you stop having periods and fully enter menopause. Although not that frequent, you are still ovulating and could get pregnant.
BC pills could only aid with your premenopausal symptoms becausing they are supplying you with hormones whose levels started declining.
