Preparation H treating hemorrhoids during period

Can I use Preparation H wipe and ointment treating hemorrhoids during my period? Is that safe? My period was delayed (first time) about 20 days, even though it came yesterday finally. Is hemorrhoids a possible reason for my period delay? I'm 27.

Prep H constricts blood flow around the anus. One can imagine that excessive use of prep H suppositories might also affect blood flow to the uterus.

In any case, my doctor said that Prep H does not actually shrink hemorrhoids. It has been my experience as well that prep H provides some topical relief, but doesn't really do anything fundamental. Sitz baths are good, and they have been clinically shown to work.
