Hi, some time ago I started having problems in my life. They were all caused by menopause. I am very depressed and the depression is making me feel very uncomfortable. Besides the hormonal therapy, the doctor has prescribed me with a medicine called Prozac. However, I am not so sure about it. Should I take it?

Hi, I would have to say that if you went to see a doctor you shouldnt be wondering about following his orders. Especially since you are menopausal. Prozac is the most known antidepressant in the world. It can help with a lot of disorders. Naturally, there are people that are against it. However, experience has proven them wrong. Prozac has given great results treating depression. That is why your doctor has prescribed it to you. I have a feeling you think that this is a strong medicine for menopausal depression. If you are not comfortable with taking it, you should have told that to your doctor. However, the doctor has probably evaluated your condition before you were prescribed with Prozac. I suggest you either take it as prescribed or see a doctor again and tell him about your concerns.
