For about 2 weeks now, (I may have lost count, in which case it could be slightly longer) I've been feeling some very odd symptoms, and they've been driving me nuts.
It started with a strange, soft pain on my right side, it was there for about 2 days, then it moved to just a pain in a muscle that connects the arm to the chest (sorry if that's not very specific).
after this, I had some also foreign pains on my under arms, but they have subsided.
All the while, I started getting a stiffness in the neck, and some preassure on my temples and on the center top of my head. It also tenses up on the muscles in the back of my head.
Every now and then, a sharp pinching pain in my stomach, but they don't really bother me.
Also, sometimes, but rarly, I have trouble taking a very deep breath.
At this time I'd like to add that I am a 17 year old male, from alabama. I'm not very active, and I am on the computer most of the day. I usually eat the right amounts of food, but latly I've had a lessened desire to eat. I have a few allergies and I am on Zyrtec to help that, but they never seem to do a thing. On the first of March, I was inside my school when a F3 tornado hit it. I came out fine but my nerves were really shocked(I guess that's the right term) from it after it and I began having panic attacks.
I go to a counselor regularly, and I was put on a 0.5 milagram pill known as Xanex, to help with anxitey*. The pill calms me down, and I find that with these current symptoms, I barly feel any of them except for the pressure on top of my head.
I find that when I am out with friends, having a good time, or meditating, the symptoms decrease expidentially, yet they come back when I am alone and have nothing but myself to talk to and worry about what's wrong.
I have went down a list of so many diseases that, it's even driving my friends and family nuts.
Many of these diseases and conditons, I have marked out, such as blood clot in the lung, and others.
Some things that I still think about are muscluar tension, late signs of brain tumor(however unlikely), Graves Disease, and the most comforting condition, General Anxiety Disoder.
I recently read a reply to someone's topic on a different site that made a lot of sense, because it spoke of symptoms getting worse over worry, and they looked on the internet for things that could be wrong with them, and nearly drove themselves nuts, however, he was daignosed with GAD, so I'm thinking that this is what is wrong.
I was wondering if anyone else has felt these symptoms and actually gotten a definate answer from a doctor on what's wrong. I have to go now, but I would really apprciate some replies upon my return.
love,
~Matt |

I am also having many of these symptoms. It started with what felt like something squirming around in my temple, or like a bubbling sensation. Followed by a cold felling going straight back from the front of head to back. I felt a lot of pressure in my temples, then nubmness in temples and across my cheek. I have feeling of pressure in sinus cavities, around and behind ears & behind my head too. Occasionally I have what can only be described as feeling like I am getting needles poked in my head. A quick sharp sting in small areas. If you have ever had one or two hairs pulled to tight in ponytail holder (rubber band), this is what it feels like. As matter of fact, before this started I felt this feeling for a few weeks. Also have had a large amount of stiffness in my neck, but not always.
Now there is mostly a lot of pressure over my entire head and sometimes the squirmy feeling in temples. with occasional jolts of pressure in temple.
A side note: there are some additional minor symptoms that I am not sure if they are related or not. They are muscle spasms 1st felt under my eye (could be seen w/ naked eye), spasm in the muscle that connects thumb with hand. spasms in legs, outer upper mucles in arm and feels like I am having them in my head (mucles around my head), also in my neck (outer neck) and what feels like inside my throat was tightning or like my tounge was spasming. and other spasms in other random muscles, i am sure I have left off somethings, but these are the major symptoms. I have had cat scans, mri, mra, blood work to check SED count (this was a little high but nothing to worry about) & they found nothing, saying my sinus cavities look fine. Because I was sure it was sinus problems. I am a 29 year old female. I am very worried that the doctor is missing something big, it has been going on since May (its now November) and sometimes I feel like an artery is about to explode in my head. Really would like to know if anyone has any similar symptoms. Even if not all, as I suspect they may not all be related. And if doctors have been able to come to any sort of conclusion. |

I must say that after reading the first and second of those two bulletins this makes me feel better that someone else is experiencing these problems. I am a 19-yr old female who was diagnosed with anxiety a little over a year ago, however I don't take medications for it and have been fighting it mentally. My "symptoms" that I believe I'm feeling are what scare me the most now, such as the sharp pains in the head, that are there for only a few seconds, yet are still alarming. My mother tells me that it's growing pains, however I feel I need to get some sort of brain scan. I honestly don't think it's anything to worry about, just that your body is constantly growing and experiencing changes.
Oh and the muscle spasms under the eye I have as well, those usually occur in times of a lot of stress, such as a lot of homework, being really busy at work, etc. |

| I am so glad to hear that other people are going through the same thing as I am right now. Not because i would wish these feelings on ANYONE, because i definately would not, but because i now know i am really not crazy! I just moved to LA and I am living on my own for the first time. About 4 monthes ago i experienced my first panic attack ever. I had no idea what was happening to me, but after looking up all of the symptoms, the only thing that they matched was stroke or heart attack. I'm only 24 years old, there is no way that could be happening to me! The docotr told me it was just anxiety and sress. I couldn't beleive that stress could have that much of a physical affect on your body. He put me on Lorazapam, which i only take when i experience the onset of an attack. But i find myself taking it almost twice a day now. About 3 weeks ago i started experienceing sharp pinching pains around my heart area that shoot down my left arm, I am also experienceing pressure around the temples and top of my head, as well as dizziness, disorientation and disconnection with myself. Its almost like i am living and going through the motions, but i don't even know who i am anymore. I went to 2 different doctors and got multiple tests done. They both said everything is fine, but i am so scared they are missing something. I have never felt this way before now, and it scares the shit out of me. I am constantly worried i'm going to have an attack at any minute, or pass out and have to go to the hospital for something life threatening. I keep researching every possibility, but i think that is just making it worse because i am always wondering if that specific ailment is occuring in my body as i continue to read. My Mom thinks I am crazy, and my friends all just shrug it off and tell me its all in my head; but i wish they could understand how it feels. Its so real to me, and i wish i could make it stop. I feel so out of control. I just want to be normal again! The only thing that seems to help is drinking and being around friends. I live by myself and i think being alone triggers a lot of the symptoms. If you guys do find anything out in reguards to your symptoms, please continue to post your findings. It would so much appreciated. I understand what you are all going through nand I hope we can all find something to help cope with these awful feelings. |

| I have recently been in an accident, I drink almost every weekend, and this past weekend I got drunk and I got into a fight. I do have anxiety all the time, and attacks I havent been treated for anything yet. But this recently weekend, I got hit and woke up with this crazy headache/pressure in my head. Its now monday night and this started saturday late morning earlie evening and continued through out sunday and today. I have been super scared because all i do is read about all my symptoms and it gives me panic attacks. I super scared, of what it could be. I have read all your posts and it sounds familiar to what I'm going through. I do put ice packs on my head and it feels better, But reading all this health shit doesn't help. It scares me and I don't want it to be life threating. So if you guys have done anything to help or changed anything please let me know, its been 2 days now, and I dont want it to be life threating. Thanks for posting your post and i hope to hear from some of you. |

| I have had this problem now for 2 years with only very short interruptions. I had 2 panic attacks and have suffered with pressure on both sides of my heads constantly now for 2 years. I have went through all the tests as well, and people shrug me off too. I know the feeling of wanting to be normal, and how frustrating it is. i try to explain to people all the time that im not acting like myself because of this "pain" although its not really pain. You feel so helpless. The ONLY thing that has worked for me so far is 1 thing. I got relief for 30 minutes from the pressure, and it was after I cried for an hour because of exploding from the situation. I have since tried to reproduce it, but have not been able too. I hope we all can find the solution to this. |

I have the same exact pressure in my head for 2 years. I thought it was sinus issues but nothing worked. And it's not a migraine. I have taken muscle relaxers and nothing changed. Vicodin sort of helped but not really. I usually take advil and benadryl when I go to bed and it's not so bad in the morning but by the end of the day my head is ready to pop. It feels as if I need an ant-inflamatory pill to decrease swelling but the stuff I tried didn't help either. I stretch a couple times a day. And I work out too. I have notice the pain has increased since I have been working out and I also just had a kid 10 months ago.
My doctor and I sort of think I have Fibromayalgia
check it out at

Good luck! |
