| I had same last year rather last summer I thought it was blood pressure but my pressure was normal then after trying many things i thought lemme check if its sinus and i applied some dried ginger powder on head just spread it and covered my head with monkey cap and went to bed next day i felt head loosening up and some mucous and the pain was gone .It happened agin this summer i tried that and it helped again also i tried soem breathing exercises for 10 mts daily in morning simply taking deep breaths. my head is absolutely cleared. Its sinus which gives a throbboing feeling in head dizzy feelinga dn pressure on top of head. I think just a guess the heat melts mucous or soemthing i dunno whatever it was but it came out to be sinus when apprently i did not had any cold those times and i am releived. you too can try spreading soem dry ginger powerd generously all over head on scalp rather and cover the ehad and go to bed. and also do soem breathing exercise. Best of luck |

You need to get to another ENT. I would also suggest a neurologists. I would also suggest you go to another hospital, a major medical center. It's not uncommon for doctors to not be aggressive in helping those with symptoms they can't easily treat. I've been the victim of doctors just wanting to shove you out of the ER. That can be the worst place to go to get help, believe it or not.
If you go again, go to a major medical center, take someone with you and demand that they do everything to find what is wrong. You must be an advocate for your own health care.
Remember, doctors are for hire, they don't hire their patients. |

Hello!
I am a 24 yr old female. Around Feb or march of 2008 I had my mom rush me to the ER because i had became extremely dizzy at work. My job involves a lot of walking and i Could barely walk. My co-workers had to push me out to her car in a chair because i couldnt stand up or walk long enough. When I arrived at the ER. The Doctor made me do some movements and looked in my mouth and my ears. He Said i had a 'virus in my vertigo' and just gave me some motion pills. He said they couldnt give me anything to fight it off, that my body would have to on it's on. He said it would take up to 12 weeks to get totally rid of. I missed 2 1/2 days of work with this 'virus in my vertigo'.
On the fifth of june i went back to the doctor because my right ear was starting to hurt. This time I saw my family doctor, I told him my ear was hurting and i was alittle clogged up. So he gave me some strong antibiotic and ear drops. Saying I had 'swimmers ear'. I'm still using my ear drops as of right now.
Now I am suffering from pressure all over my head ( but mostly behind my ears , on my forhead and under my eyes). I get dizzy and my eyes are extremely sensitive to the light. I'm almost to the point where I don't want to drive because it gives me a headache from squinting.
I've never suffered from alleregies before and that is what people are telling me my problem is. So I started taking Zrytec D last friday and it seems to help but i still have pressure under my eyes and if it is windy my right ear starts hurting again.
I'm getting ready to go to colorado this coming monday so I better get to the doctor and see what he says but i'm afraid he is just going to give me another antibiotic and nothing happen. -
- I hope i can get some input on this from other people on here.
Take Care All

I have gotten migraines with my periods for years but for the past year I have had something quite different and no one seems to understand it... I have been to Drs., Naturalpaths and Pshycologist and no one has answers for me.
Anyway, I find that just before my period starts I get slight boughts of dizziness but nothing too crazy and then about two days after my period has started I get dizziness so bad that I feel as though I am drunk (some days it comes and goes all day). This can last up to a week or more and sometimes builds into a pressure headache. I do find that if I lay down it lessens and it does not happen as much in the evenings or over the weekends when I am off work. I do not have a stressful job and I really enjoy what I do. I only work 9-3 M-F so it is not like I am overdoing it.
I have been taking tonnes of magnesium as I have also been suffering from anxiety for the past year + and I have found the magnesium to help to keep me calm. About 2 years ago I fell rollerblading and had someone fall ontop of me which cracked my sacrum. It was about 5 month afterwards that I started to experience major panic and anxiety (it appears that I damaged my nervous system) and about 4 months after that the dizziness appeared.
The Drs. think the dizziness is linked to my anxiety however, I am beginning to see a real pattern with my menstral. I have had a CT and it came back clean as well has been tested for every kind of ailment out there through blood work including allergies and despite having a couple of delayed allergy issues and low blood sugar everything came back fine. I take good care of myself and keep my sugars stable with proper diet as well as am taking Chromium.
I am a very young 39 yr old and have two sons. My overal health is extremely good as is my mental outlook... but these dizzy spells are beginning to drive me nuts. The seem to start up around Jan/Feb and last year they cleared around June but this year I am still battleing. I am going to massage and biofeed back therapy which seems to help but then just as I think I have it licked... it comes back again. Oh, and I am exhausted most of the time... especially when the dizzy spells are on.
Anyone with any answers or feedback would be greatly appreciated... I am getting really tired of going through this alone.
Thanks |

The large percentage of the population complain of these symptoms and doctors never find the cause because they don't know what they are looking for.
Candida albicans is a type of yeast that lives in all of us. When your immune system is working properly, the amount of Candida in your body is kept in balance. When your immune system is compromised, or other factors occur such as consuming unhealthy amounts of sugars and carbohydrates, the Candida can grow out of control.
Here are some of the symptoms of Candida overgrowth:
-Frequent stomach pains and digestion problems
-Skin problems (skin infections, eczema, psoriasis, acne)
-Foggy brain / Trouble concentrating
-Constant tiredness and exhaustion
-Noisy stomach, loose stools, gas
-Anxiety
-Mood swings
-Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
-Anger outbursts
-Irritability
-Headaches
-Intense cravings for sugars, sweets, and breads
-Itchy skin
I have had CRT's, blood work, prescriptions, you name it, the doctor tried it. Threelac took care of it, I discovered this on my own. It can take anywhere from 3 to 12 months to get it under control. Excessive processed sugar or high-carbohydrate intake will escalate the symptoms if this is YOUR problem.
Don't be mistaken, these symptoms can cross over to other areas as well. A anterograde embolism can give you a sudden headache, dizziness, nausea, extreme tiredness, disorientation, and anxiety. These are symptoms of a heart attack on the horizon. |

I've read most of the posts here about this and want to tell you:
I've had this problem, in varying degrees, since 1984 - my immune system had some issues.
In 1985 I had a physical at Walter Reed Hospital (Neurology, ENT, Cardiology, Endocrinology) - the over-riding problem was Hashimoto's Thyroiditis - my immune system attacked my thyroid gland, I was active duty Army and gaining weight on the prescribed 500 calories a day. I also occasionally have very painful, weather induced migraines and tinnitus.
For the dizziness, They supposedly ruled out Meniere's (a hearing loss issue) and settled on Benign Positional Vertigo and treated me with the max dosage of meclizine - didn't really help. I had "no serious sinus issues" but I do have recurring sinus infections (after any cold)
For the milder Vertigo - there are some weird exercises that do seem to help. Google them. Ginger snaps take care of my mild seasickness usually. I've never heard of applying ginger externally - doesn't make sense to me - but eating it is an old Chinese nausea antidote.
DO NOT LET ANY DOCTOR IN ANY ONE SPECIALTY STOP UNTIL THEY FIND OUT WHAT"S WRONG. These symptoms are at least disturbing, can be dangerous (I have driven in front of buses and fallen over curbs) and can be caused by some horrifying underlying causes - like tumors, cancer, strokes, serious hearing loss, etc. |

My mom has been going thru this since last may...
She gets a heavy sensation on the top of her head..it goes into her eyes with weird pain, then drops into her stomach as nausea...we can even hear her stomach making noises...and all the time lightheaded...not really dizzy room spinning..just light and foggy and out of it, and not normal....
they have done MRI's, blood work, heart tests, eye tests, BPV benign positional vertigo testing and therapy( IF YOU GET DIZZY IT COULD BE THAT) ...those are crystals in your ear that get displaced and cause dizziness and such.....went to ear nose throat guy...neurologist who Thought it was seizures...after an EEg it was NOT seizures...so we are completely out of ideas...it happned last summer but only lasted 6 weeks...the only other thing i can think of is a reaction to mold....mold sickness can do some weird things.....but we cant find any mold in her house....SOMEONE MUST KNOW WHAT THIS COULD BE OUT THERE!! |
