If I wanna be sure my problems are caused by endometriosis, as my obstetrician and gynecologist doubt, what is the best way to find it out. What kinds of tests are confirmed as the best, until now?

Well, there are a number of tests a doctor could perform to try to find it out. There are imaging tests, they make ''picture'' of the inside of the body, which allows a doctor to locate endometriosis areas. Hereafter, ultrasound, machine that uses sound waves to make the picture, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), machine that uses magnetic and radio waves for the same. But the only way to confirm that for sure is laparoscopy. This is a surgery where tube with a light is placed inside the abdomen. The surgeon gradually checks each organ and sees if there is any a growth or tissue from endometriosis. This way is the most sure because it will not show just if there is uncommon kind of tissue then also it will show location, extent and size of that. All this can help in better treatment decisions.

I have endometriosis and was told the only way to see it is to go in and look. that there is no other way to find it. And just because you have it removed doesn't mean it won't come back. I now have a medtronic pump and it works great. I couldn't swallow, patch or shoot enough medication to get rid og the pain.

Endometreosis, Endmoetritis.....

I've had both for several years. At first, my gynocologist sluffed it off as nothing. I got a second opinion and furthermore a laparoscopy...to prove the results-- positive.

After 7 surgery's...lots of ultrasounds...etc. Things aren't getting any better.
Endo. can cause multiple problems with other organs including: irritable-bowel syndrome, sciatic hip disorder, pressure when urinating, pressure when having bowel movements....did you know that Endo. can spread to your lungs?!!

The symptoms go on for days. Some procedure's work for some...but not for others. There is no cure.......the closest is a hysterectomy. But, if Endo. causes other health problems.....a hysterectomy may not solve all of the problems caused by Endo.

A trick.....mysterious disease........

My heart goes out to all of the women with this mind-boggling epedemic!

I WAS TOLD TO GET PREGNANT TO ELIMINATE THE ENDOMETRIOSIS AND THEN GIVE MY CHILD UP FOR ADOPTION. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET RID OF THE ENDOMETRIOSIS. I AM IN MY FIRST STAGES. I AM CONFUSED. I HAVE READ ALL THE ARTICLES, AND NO ONE HAS MENTIONED THAT GETTING PREGNANT WAS EVER SUGGESTED TO THEM.
Question Question Question
THANK YOU.

I was told the same thing at 22 years old. I just had my first daughter whom was not even 1 years old yet and after I thought I was healing from my C-Section I suddenly starting have more pains from my lower back to my abdominal wall....like a pulling sensation....so after my now 2nd or 3rd laparoscopy (semi "treatment" for Endo) the doctor said to me..."Honey, I hate to break it to you, but either get pregnant or get a hysterectomy Those are the only two cures I can suggest to you". And 7 years later....I am currently pregnant and pain free for another month...and hope that this baby beats my doctor at the C-section...otherwise the vicious cycle of pain will once again be a struggle.
