Prolonged menstrual bleeds normal of newcomers to the pill??

hey just a quick question.

I just started my first pack of the combined pill, taking the first pill on the first day of my Period.

I have now taken the 11th pill and I am still bleeding. Albeit a bit lighter than the first five days.

is this to be expected? I heard about breakthrough bleeds but I didnt think that I would be having a fortnight - long period!!!!!

I have been bleeding for a fortnight now please can someone help me.

Its new blood. Still red when I remove a tampon or pad. and contains small clots in it as well. sometimes stringy and sometimes like little bits of liver tissue.

I'm not pregnant nor have I got an STD because I ALWAYS practice safe sex.

dont wory ive been taking it 4 16 days now nd im still bleeding i dont think its normal i read that its due 2 having an sti but i dont belive it!!!

nah (haha I posted that last year)

it was just breakthrough bleeding. totally normal of starting the pill and not related to sti!
