Prolonged period using Cyclessa (B.C)

I am ususally normal with my period, aroung 6 days, but strangely I did not get my period for 2 months. There was no sign of pregnancy, so I was recommended into taking Cyclessa, which would regulate my period. It brough my period down, but my period is no longer 6 days, it's been on for 11 days now and still on, mainly light bleeding, but is this normal? I stopped taking them just for that reason, was that why or what? I don't know what to do!
