Prometrium doesn't work for me?

Hi, I am 37 years old female and I am taking prometrium in order to stop bleeding after my abortion. Doctor prescribed it to me and told that this medication will stop my bleeding which was pretty big. Unfortunately it didn't stop yet and I have doubt that prometrium doesn't work for me.

Hi, problem with bleeding after abortion is pretty usual problem and it doesn't have to mean that prometrium do not function if your bleeding didn't stop. Reason for such condition may be some little part of placenta which was removed properly and it may cause bleeding. I suggest you to visit your gynecologist and he may do hysteroscopy to check if everything is fine.
